Lure Review: Matzuo Frog

This is a topwater frog that comes in two sizes and various colour patterns. They are pretty standard when it comes to frogs, they have rubber boddies and two legs that are made of strands of rubber. This lure is weedless so it can maneuver easily through heavy cover. The main issue I had with it is that water leaks in through the holes where the hooks come out of the body. When it would fill with too much water it wouldn’t float which defeats its purpose. There are definitely better frogs on the market but this frog is a good backup frog for if you lose your main one. It is good at attracting bass with it’s “mouth” which cups the water making a popping sound during the retrieve. Overall, this is a good inexpensive frog with a few manageable flaws.
